This is the same as European roulette, the only difference being when the ball land on zero. With European roulette when the ball lands on zero you lose unless you are betting on zero or on a split that involves the zero. With French roulette if your are betting on any of the even money bets you will get half your money back if the zero lands meaning the house advantage is less.
